High Fantasy is one of the fantasy literary terms. It is primarily characterized by its focus on the conflict between good and evil. If it is successful, it capture our belief in two major ways: first, by the internal consistency of the new world; second, by the protagonist's belief in her or his experience. Point of view influences our acceptance of the character and experience. Setting varies, but is most often integral because credibility may depend upon a created world different from our own. Themes encompass a broad concern for humanity, effectively objectifying and universalizing the greatest conflict of human life, that between good and evil. My favourite story of high fantasy genre, The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien!
